Christian Grimando
Christian Grimando currently serves as the Associate Program Manager for the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program. In this role, Christian proudly assists in leading the strategic design and delivery of different initiatives that focus on academic success, financial literacy and graduate education preparedness. Christian is dedicated to making sure all McNair scholars possess the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate the many complex systems throughout higher education and transition successfully into doctoral-level studies.
Christian brings a decade of experience across Rutgers and Princeton University. He brings a diverse background in federal grant administration, community standards conduct adjudication and a special focus on holistic coaching and advising. A first-generation college graduate, Christian is an incredibly passionate advocate for first-generation and non-traditional students, focusing his attentions on the development of data-informed intervention strategies, such as his work with the Memphis Pipeline Project. Bridging the gaps between policy and persistence that mirror his work rooted in the belief that administrative excellence and student advocacy are often deeply interwoven.
A proud two-time Rutgers alumnus, Christian earned his Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPA) from Rutgers University – Newark. Beyond his professional interests, Christian is an avid reader, an aspiring pianist and frequently enjoys spending time with table top games amongst his friends and family.
