Posse was founded in 1989 because of one student who said, “I never would’ve dropped out of college if I’d had my posse with me."

About Posse
Rutgers Posse 1
Rutgers–New Brunswick became a Posse partner institution in 2021 and works with Posse Boston to annually identify and recruit cohorts of young leaders. The first cohort of Rutgers Posse Scholars joined the university in fall 2022.
Posse Plus Retreat
The annual weekend-long PossePlus Retreat, held every spring, brings a cross section of the campus community — students, faculty and administrators — together to talk about issues on a national, campus and personal level.
